Getting Traffic to a PTC site want to promote

I decided to try one of those pay for hits traffic sites. It didn't cost all that much for 2500 hits and they were spread out over about a week. I am disappointed though, I did not get even one sign up to my world wide sharer page. Was I expecting too much? Was this not a fair test? Anyone have luck with this kind of promoting?

Out of those 2500 hits from traffic planet I did not get a single referral :(

Sorry to hear you had such bad luck on trying to get referrals. I have done this to and it is a waste of my time plus I lost money in the end. I'm better off doing it alone and waiting the extra time to get paid. The only way you are going to get any true referrals is by referring friends or family memebers in all honesty. Alot of my friends think this kind of thing is dumb and won't consider it as goes for my family as well so I go abouts it alone. I'm doing ok but it's the extra wait like I said but I don't mind. I do hope you find some to join your site and I wish you the best of luck take care.

Thank you for your well wishes Remembering1996 :) My friends also think this is a waste of time and some of them don't even like computers (how is that possible????)
