Has anyone experienced the different sattelite dishes, the cable company's cable and ATT's? I will need to decide upon one or another by February, and I want to know about quality, consistence and costs. Any advice would surely be appreciated!

We have cable but just because it is cheaper. If it werent we would have a dish instead. Not many great channels but I can pay the bill when it gets here so we keep it and just keep dreaming.

Thanks for the response. I don't really want to have to pay for TV, but it's going to be necessary in February.

Hey Cobra, I've had both cable and sattelite. Right now I have cable. I think cost in either depends on what you want. Sattelite is affected by the weather. When it is storming where your sattelite is you will lose your picture until the weather clears. When I lived in Ca. I had a sattelite dish and the sattelite itself was located out East. So when the weather was bad in the Eastern states, I would lose my picture. Our cable company not only covers our TV but we get our computer service through them as well. If we went with sattelite the TV and computer service would be a lot more costly. I recently checked into it for us and found all this out. Good luck!! leenie

Thanks! I know it has to be done, but I don't watch tv enough to be happy about paying for it. Considering the many storms we have here, I think cable may be more reliable. Is their computer service fast?

We have Dish Network satellite and have been very happy with them. They have various packages and we have the lest expensive and find it to include everything that we need.

Thank you for the response. It's really a difficult choice, but it will be absolutely necessary February 17. Better to ask for a variety of opinions before trying to decide!

for me cable is a good choice, but it all hangs o nthe area that you live in here in the UK,the cable isnt available in all areas, but we have freeview television, and with the digital arial it works a treat, the picture is a dream, and we get the extra channels without a subscription.

Seems as if UK has a less complicated system than the US. We have too many choices, and not enough information. Thanks for the response.
