I have been raised in the church and am in church every Sunday morning unless I am sick or one of my kids are sick. What about you guys?

I am not from a religious family, but when i was younger we would all go to church on a sunday morning, as my brother and i got older we stopped going as regularly and i rarely go now, which is something i suppose i should really seem to but my religious views have changed somewhat as i've got older (but there's a whole other discussion! hehe) having said that some of my best childhood memories are of going to church for christingle etc and the friends i made at sunday school in the chruch hall after the morning service! :-)

I'm not sure how your views have changed, but I know we all do as we grow older. I hope one day you can find a church that suits you and make new memories to replace those good childhood memories. You can still enjoy church as an adult...I promise becuase I know I have fun still.

That is a great way to go through life. There is nothing at all wrong with that. Do me a favor and try this. Go through a day and just write down all the amazing things that you see (sunrise, flowers blooming, blue skies, animals, kids playing, etc) and think about a loving God who created that for our own enjoyment because he loved us.

I suppose I have just drifted away from religion and am now left unsure as to what exactly it is I believe. I am glad that you have a church that you can enjoy attending as I believe religion and church can be a really positive thing for some people and provide a lot of comfort and support! I'll have to keep pondering the bigger questions in life and decide whatit really is that I believe! I guess in a lot of ways I think the most important thing is to go through life and be the best person that you can, treat people with respect and try to do the right thing! xx

Well, good luck to you as you search for a church. I hope you find one that you both like and one where you feel you can trust people.

Sounds like you have a pretty regular schedule then. Makes all the difference in the world.

We as a family sleep in on a sunday, well until about 8.30am ish. We never go to church as we do not believe in God. Our children know this but they are free to make there own minds up and if ever they chose to go to church and weren't older enough to go to church on there own then we would go with them to support there needs, but we would never ever let them believe that we had changed our beliefs just because we were taking them to church.

I compliment you on allowing your kids to make their own decisions. Parents on both sides of this fence tend to force their beliefs and then the children resent them for it. May I ask, why do you not believe in God?
