Should he or should he not?

There has been a lot of media attention towards Obama's World Tour. One stop on the world tour when it was announced was a visit with wounded troops in Germany. After some internal discussion and being told by the Pentagon there could be no cameras, the Obama camp has canceled that visit. McCain's View: Obama can make time for going to the gym and will show up where ever cameras are allowed, but refuses to visit those who are willing to give themselves to defend our ideals. Obama's View: Senator Obama did not want to politicize the visit with the troops. While he wants to visit them, to do it during his "rockstar" style world tour would be more damage as it would seem as if he just wants more attention to what he is doing. My view: Who cares if the camera's aren't there.... visit them anyway. There is no way whatsoever that a candidate who is in the country anyway should pass up on visiting. There is no law, no mandate, stating that Obama has to make a big deal of his visit. Take a day away from the camera, tell the media "Don't bother me today, I am going to visit wounded forces, but I would like this to be a private visit." What do you think?

I also think he has this Rockstar attitude, and he should of spent one day away from the cameras visiting the wounded or the troops that are fighting to give him the freedoms he has, it shows me that he is not interested in them, unless he can have a camera in his face at all times, I dont' like him, don't think he made much of an impression on the other countries in this visit. I think McCains saying he has not been overseas or to see the troops in Iraq is what pushed him to go in the first place, trufully I don't think he gives a damn about any of us only to feather that Rockstar image of his, this to him is like a game and if I can't get the attention I want I won't go or do it. I feel for us all if he gets in.

I honestly think that this is just another place where he's shown his true colors. The pentagon made it very clear that he could not make it a political event and when he realized he couldn't bring his media circus along, he canceled the visit. I don't know how much more obvious it could be. He didn't mind visiting troops in other hospitals when the cameras were present. Why couldn't he do it without the cameras. I agree with the McCain spokesman who said it is never inappropriate to visit the men and women who serve our country. Apparently for Obama, it's only inappropriate when the news anchors and cameras can't accompany him.

I think Obama would make a lot more people happy if he did what you proposed. Why does he need to have cameras following him everywhere? Not vitising the wounded is a huge mistake.
