Do you ever bite your cuticles until they are ragged?

For awhile my nails were growing beautifully. But when they started breaking off and chipping, I got back into the habit of nibbling on them. Now I've caught myself biting my cuticles. And they're in pretty bad shape. I guess I've been under some stress lately and the finger nail biting is flaring up again. Do you ever bite your cuticles until they become ragged? How do you treat sore cuticles?

Nail biting is a compulsion and usually only rears it's ugly head when I'm worried over money or job issues! I'm sure I'll be fine. Thanks for your comments.

I try not to, somethings you get a bit of loose cuticle at the side of the nail and the temptation is to bite it off, but these days i carry nail clippers so i can clip them off and thus avoid sore fingers! I also use cuticle remover cream and a hof stick one a week or fortnight to push back the main cuticle.

Used to bite my nails, and bad too,but that was when I was a kid,my Mum got some stuff called Stop and grow ,it was in a little bottle and you painted it on,it was really smelly, but it didnt work I got used to the taste, the same with the block of bitter aloe that was smeared over my fingertips,I got used to the taste of that too.
