Shortage of family planning/ contraceptives

The government has declared that there is a shortage of contraceptives in the whole country. Why would they be that careless and wait till the supply is over? The only option left is the male contraceptive and I dont think men will agree with that! What do you think will happen? I think abortions will rise.........and the population will up, also poverty! What is your opinion?

I don't think it was a careless oversight in your country. Maybe it's a measure to increase the use of male contraceptive use to address the issue of HIV/AIDS infections spreading rapidly...

If so, I wish they thought it out! I fear abortion rates will hike and people might die because of going for cheaper methods. Kenyan men will not agree to do that! they always think that its a woman's responsibility! Thanks for your response.
