It's been a long time since I've used wood or charcoal to cook...probably the last time I went camping, about 13 years ago. I like to use the stove..it's easier and cleaner :)

yeah, fire is usually for camping type of cooking... it is always much better to use the gas or electric stove, it is really convenient...

Whenever we head out to the farm, yes, we do use wood to cook or charcoal to grill. There is something about old-style cooking that enhances the flavor of food. Of course, it can be very tedious just getting started and you'd be having coughing fits by the time it's all over. But otherwise, it adds to the country-life experience. Besides with the high cost of oil, we should be exploring alternatives.

Don't matter to me much, as long as the food gets cooked all the way through. Can't stand under cooked meat. Yuck! Though I do enjoy cooking over a camp fire while out camping. Looking forward to doing it again next week. Keeping fingers crossed.

I sometimes cook over charcoal, but that is when I am outside grilling. I love the way food tastes when it has been cooked over charcoal. I normally use my electric stove though.

Here in our place we use fire.....that is stove and if we ran out of LPG,i'd use electric.Electricity is quite cheap here so no problem with the bill.Back home,we use fire/stove.And since we have so much problem with the unending price hikes i will not hesitate to use charcoal or woods-much cheaper.
