actually... it is the way they mispronounced my name. just a few years back, i encountered an article regarding the prophecy of names and looking deep into the meaning of both my names, gives me an assurance that everything has a purpose. how about your name, friend? miss you and take care

when i was in high school n college, i didnt like my name cause it was very common. in high school, there's the two of us in the classroom with same name while in college, we are three! and every time i walk through the corridors and someone will call my name, i wont turn and respond because it might be another person. im wishing that my name would kinda unique and sounds nice.

Some of us sometimes really feel that that we don't like our names specially when it is common. I do have a common name, it's not just common but also a unisex name which sometimes makes me think, why of so many names that my parents may choose from, why is this name? I've already asked them about it, so I've known the reason but still the feeling is the same.... Then some time in my life I've realize that there are things that you even don't like at first, then there will come a time that you'll learn not just to like it but also to love it....

Yes, I do also believe that some of doesn't like their names in some instances. But we do must think that we've named by our parents with what they wanted and I belive that they choosen the best they think for their childrens. of course our parents always wants the best for us, we might not think about it sometimes.

Me too, i guess it's true for some. But it doesn't matter anymore if you like your name or the other's do. What's more important is the attitude you have because in it , your name won't matter to people who'll love you. They'd gonna accept you the whole what ever your name is.ya..ya..

I do love my name and of course I like it. I think the only downside to my name is that it is quite long since I have two names. But I have been baptized by such name and it was my parents who decided to name me with such. I think I will carry this name no matter what.

I also love my name. I was named after my grandmother's doctor when she gave birth on my father who also named Warlon. Sometimes people got confused especially when calling in our land line. But even though it's funny to think i still love my name and besides, i already acquired it so better to treasure it.

princess- My last name is unusual and I like it. My first name? If I could only change one vowel, which would change the pronunciation, I would do it. I think the legal part of changing it could mess up credit cards and banks, so I won't change it. But I do introduce myself with the different name, depending on who I'm talking to. People think I have a European look, and the name I like fits their observations. A one syllable name that starts with a vowel, makes it hard to understand. I get tired of repeating it over and over. What were my parents thinking?

My wife changed her last name several years ago to her maternal grandfather's last name. She's very happy with that. When we got married, we both decided she should leave it at that. It doesn't phase me in the least. I technically have either three last names or three first names because I've seen all three used as either. I answer to anything.

i like my name. my name is ashlee. i do prefer the spelling ashley, but my mother preferred to ee's. now that ashlee simpson exists though, it's kind of weird. my middle name is lou-ann, after my favorite louis. not the best name ever but it is meaningful at least.

Some of us sometimes really feel that we don't like our names because it's common. I do fell the same way too, because my name is not just common but also a unisex. Sometimes I have been addressed as Mr., too bad,... hehehe... But it doesn't gave me a thought of wanting to change my name, because I do respect my parents a lot... and I've realized along the way that there are some things that you may not like at first, but would turn out that just don't like it and instead you've learned to love it...

In India mainly women get a new name after they get married the surname does change and if its required the name also does change. I am very happy and satisfied withmy name. And if asked also i am ready to change it to a new one.But i think it would bring so many changes ,and as per the government documents also we had to change each and every thing. We should change the certificate name also which we studied. We should get all the study certificates to be changed to the new name. Its so tough.
