Ink stains on clothes and bedding?

MIL didn't check FIL's pockets before doing her wash last night. He'd left a pen in his shirt pocket so now she has ink all over her bedding and all over one of my boys' outfits. (Please don't ask why clothes and bedding were in the same load of laundry, I don't try to figure out her methods). I've heard the hair spray trick but never had much luck with it. There's too much on the bedding to spritz with hair spray. Do any of you know any other tricks to get ink out of fabric? It was a black pen and was not discovered until everything had done through the dryer, if any of that makes a difference.

I don't think its possible now Foxy, I could be wrong, but my experience is that once a stain like that is dried in the heat it is pretty much set in.... Sorry again I am no help to you.

AW...it's alright! I got some good suggestions already so it's fine. The site Raz mentioned looks good...it's not a big deal anyway, the clothes were just a set of play clothes anyway.

Ink stains are really difficult to get them out of fabrics, especially when it had dried and set into the fabric. However, I swear by one of the products that I used for getting out this type of stains. Have you heard of Amway? They sell a great range of laundry products that is 100% sure to get stains out without spoiling the fabric, and I really swear by it without any questions. Ever heard of the SA-8 range? Perhapes you could get it?

Ink alone is so HARD to get out of fabric. I've never had any luck. I think that since it's already been dry--- it might already be "set" in to it. Do you have any oxy-clean? That stuff has been know to get out some serious stains... maybe that would work for the ink? I really think that it's too late now though ;(

soaking it in a laquer thinner for few minutes, Maybe it would help because if this erases paint stains then surely ink stains will also be erased.
