I'm a big G1 fan but I really like the new Transformers Animated series. It's more kiddie than the G1 shows but it's still better than a lot of the other Transformer series that they've made. I really like Prowl. I think the new Prowl is actually better than the old Prowl. The old Prowl was cool and one of my favorite Transformers but still it seemed like he was maybe a little too generic. The new Prowl is definitely original and has a personality appropriate for someone named Prowl. Ratchet has a lot of Kup in him. He's really more Kup from G1 than he is Ratchet. But that's a good thing. The old Ratchet was pretty dull. The new Bumblebee is like the Transformers version of Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He took some getting used to but I'm ok with him now. I'm still trying to figure out why they included Bulkhead. I guess they wanted a completely dumb and goofy Transformer and there just wasn't one from the past to use, unless to include Grimlock so they must have decided to redo Bulkhead, a Transformer hardly anyone knew about before this new series. Optimus is probably the hardest to get used to simply because everyone remembers him as the leader. For a lot of people he is Transformers. For him to have to be a subordinate to Ultra Magnus and Sentinel Prime is just weird. The decepticons are really great. I'm glad they have put a lot of emphasis on the feud between Megatron and Starscream and actually made Starscream at least somewhat capable of overthrowing Megatron where as in G1 Starscream could only dream about it. Blitzwing is funny. I can't wait for season 3.
