A Libyan husband who has been claiming for a refugee protection in Canada for less than 10 years ago has been sent back to his homeland. However, his wife and 4 kids were allowed to stay. Do you think the government did the right thing? If you were in the shoes of the husband would you leave your family behind? Just Curious, SFC

This happens regularly in Canada and the U.S. I don't think it's fair to break up a family.

Hi Muelitz, No I don't think the goverment did the right thing there, how can anyone seperate families like that, if they sent him back to his own country they should have sent the whole faimly as well or just let him stay. I think is cruel how the goverment could mess with people lives. Tamara

Well I mysef know very little about refuge protection, so I have no idea why this man would be sent back in the first place.I think that if there was a good reason to send him back, they should have sent the entire family back, not split them up.

Maybe, why not? If my wife and kids had a better future there I will leave them. Anyways it will only be temporary. No big deal really.
