Party like it's 19??

What's your 'decade'? In terms of what you prefer, enjoy, and do with yourself, family and friends daily, what year or decade would you live in if you could choose? Disregard the title, it could be any year or decade, including the 1800s or BC, or 5837.
I think I might go back and revisit the 80s as an adult because I was a child in the 80s, other than that, I like living right now. I do not like the social climate of things decades ago, the stuffiness of the 50s, the tug of war between war/peace in the 60s, all I can say about the 70s is disco.. ugh! Long before that, the social climate was even worse! People chaperoned on DATES, rules at dances, having to ask parents' permission to date, and of course women had no say! Not my idea of a good time! There was no equality, in general or as far as jobs, there was a time when women were prevented from working and then a time when people would make comments if they didn't!

mommyboo, the 80's rocked to be a young person. The 80's was the decade of my 20's and let me tell you I thought I was Queen, the world was mine and I owned it... I had the time of my life. The late 80's heralded in maturity and the beginning of my raising a family. But the early years I will not forget.

for some reason i always thought i should have been born in the twenties. i just loved the way they dressed and the way men acted like men, and the ladies where treated like ladies. i always had a thing for the twenties

I am not sure really, I guess that given that most of my partying was done in the 90s I would have to say then as I do not really know much before that time. I liked a lot of the music from the 80s but I would not choose that as I prefer dance music.
If I could choose an era to visit, then it would be around 1535 or so, when King Henry the eighth was on the throne and young. He seemed to know how to throw a good party so I would gatecrash one of his and get to wear a beautiful dress!
