a very very interesting answer. just to add on, what i really feel that the most important part of my body is my heart - not for living but for loving. you have mentioned that we should have a shoulder where your loved ones can lean on and shed a tear. thats really possible only if you have a heart full of love. if u cant love, u cant lend a shoulder.

I'd agree with the brain. But you'd need several parts of your body to function (spine, brain, heart, colon, small intestine, stomach, etc). The only part of your body that you truly do not need is your appendix. Scientists have not been able to find out what the purpose of the appendix is. The brain to me would seem the most vital. With a heart you can get a defibrillator's to keep that going. Your brain can not be helped in any way such as that. The brain regulates the all processes in your body such as your nervous system, digestive system, respiration system, and controls all of the movements you make.

normally yes i would agree what you'll both say...but i have a mother with a different view for this her answer is...SHOULDER...now the reason for this is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one...when they cry...everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime in life....and hoped that people have enough loved ones and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on...when you need it.

That's an interesting perspective on life. You're mom makes sense on that statement "everyone needs a shoulder to cry on". For some people though shedding a tear is simply unthinkable. They've been traumatized, no ones been there for them, to people like that a shoulder means nothing. The human brain is...something that is hated and revered at the same time. It's because of the brain you feel sadness, joy, anger, envy, and it's because of the brain you know what to do when someone cries on you. I don't know if this makes sense to you but I have a friend that's been through a lot in his life. He says he just doesn't feel sad anymore.

Everything is important. I need my brain as I need my heart as I need my eyes.
