Do you always wear your seatbelt?

My kids are 3 and 4 and we always tell them when putting them in the carseats that we have to buckle up or a police officer will come take us to jail. Now my 3 year old daughteer will always say when we are driving (no matter if I am buckled or not), "Dad, put your seat belt on. Do you want a police occifer to come take you to jail?" A cute reminder that our kids are always paying attention to what we say. What about you, do you wear a seat belt all the time?

I always wear my seatbelt because it is the law,and I do not want to do anything that would cause me to get a ticket because gas and food are expensive enough without having to worry about going to court over a seatbelt ticket, the only time I will not wear a seatbelt is if I am going a short distance away such as five minutes or so away.

I agree with the cost issues these days. You don't need any extras. They say that most accidents happen within a mile of your home, so you need to make sure you wear it on the five minute trips, too.

Yes we do ,here in the UK it is compulsory to wear them, and you can be stopped and fined on the spot for not wearing them.mY GRANDCHILD ALSO HAS TO HAVE A BOOSTER SEAT ,AND A LITTLE ONE MUST HAVE A CHILDRENS CAR seat.It is a compulsory thing over here.

It is the law in the United States, too, however many people do not wear them. Kids, too, must be in car seats and then booster seats until a certain age or weight. Thanks for the response. Enjoy your grandchild:)
