Does your dog drive your cats crazy?

Our puppy Dolly loves chasing the cats and she wants to play with them so badly. The cats are constantly hiding from her and are always wanting to go outside. They never hurt Dolly they just go hide somehere. Sometimes they will jump in my lap[ and give this please help me look. I am hoping that once Dolly is out of the puppy stage she will settle down a little bit. She gives the cats a workout though and I have become very quick on my feet. So for everyone who has cats and dogs, does your dog do the same thing? Will it get better as she gets older?

You dolly sounds like my dog Tina. From day one, she has been a playful pup, and she is fond of the cats. She drives them so crazy that they grab her head with both front paws and try to bite her. But if she whines in pain, they immediately start licking her. So though she is maddening, they love her a lot. My dog is sort of teenager right now, and she is just as playful. I don't think she will ever grow up. LOL

It might get alittle better but my dog often likes to chase the cat particularly when he is in a good mood or has alot of energy. The cat tolerates the dog and does not get too annoyed because they are basically friends. He would prefer not to be chased though of course.

I have no pets now. But when I did I had a dog and a cat. The dog Fluffy was brought into the house first and had the reign of the house for a very long time. Then one day a kitten was brought in and I was curious at first how they would get along. I didn't have to worry at all. My dog Fluffy took to the baby kitten right off. They would sleep together, eat together and did everything together. So my dog Fluffy didn't drive my cat crazy. He became a mother to the baby kitten and protected it.
