Microsoft has done it again - The Mojave Experimennt

Microsoft's Vista system got some bad critics. In response, not only that Microsoft launched Vista, she stopped distributing and supporting Windows XP! In order to correct the consumers' opinion about Windows Vista, Microsoft commenced an "experiment" in which consumers were asked for their opinion about the Vista system. Most of them said negative things, and that the source was mainly rumors. They gave the same people to try a new system called "Mojave". In a movie (http://www.mojaveexperiment.com/) Microsoft shows the reactions to the new system - an amazement at how good this new system. When the consumers were told they actually used Vista, they were shockedm and changed their minds about the system. What do you think of Vista? What do you think of Microsoft? Do you think the Vista system is as bad as the critics say? What do you think about this experiment?

It's still just shiny. I think Vista still needs more tweaking. And until they released a service pack 3 I won't be getting a Vista. I'm gonna use Vista strictly for programming purposes for the .net framework.

I've been using the Vista system for almost 6 months and found no errors. Could you elaborate on what's bad with it? What have you experienced that makes you not use the system?

Well the first thing is, my system is not a Vista-able one. And second, when I tried to install a new hardware in a Vista of other people, compatibility issues arise. But then I'm still going to use a Vista, mainly for the purpose of programming. Thanks for your concern.

I just read about that Mojave Ruse a while ago, where in they invited 100 solid XP users who 100% hated Vista. They were presented with a PC installed with the new ms OS which when they evaluated it 90 of them highly acclaimed it. It turn out in the end that it is just vista. This test shows that this 90 people hated Vista so much when in fact they haven't seen one or tested it. So many are relying on the critic and negative views of others.

It is indeed funny - how people prejudge before they even test for themselves. If it were only in software... people tend to do it in almost every aspect of our lives... Do you use Vista?

You won't have to be left behind for too long - computer prices are going down every week (sometimes, it seems every day). I bought my "super quad computer" about 6 months ago, and it now costs about 20% less! And that's a lot of money... I liked XP as well, but Vista does so many things automatically (especially when it comes to home networks...), it is a welcome upgrade on my part.

I can only agree with you - people's normal reaction to change. I've seen this on every new release of windows and I believe giving it some more time they will soon accept it just like XP. I am just surprised how this hate vista thing somewhat blown out of proportion. I'm still using XP, my machine is not up to vista just yet. Sad to say I'm already feeling very left behind as far as tinkering it is concern.

I also had heard a lot of bad reviews about windows Vista and I think that they are wrong to prejudge anything that is not experienced. I can make statements about anything and these statements are my point of view, however, until something is actually experienced, then individuals should not be too quick to judge. I like the fact that it has enough prompts to give the end user the choice to either commit or back out which is helpful in preventing crashed operating systems.

Prejudge is usually wrong, but I guess it is a defense mechanism we all have. I also liked the way Vista is planned - from the friendly installation process, down to the help section. Until now, I found no flaws - and I tax my system a lot, opening various developers programs (Matlab included) alongside some office applications, dreamweaver, photoshop etc. Had one crash, but it was due to some website that got my FireFox go wild (took about 1,500,000 K of memory!). With FireFox 3 it doesn't happen (it probably has a better memory management algorithm or something).
