will you watch any of the olympics?

I haven't watched for years. I have no interest. I think they should take place in Greece and with no clothes. The way they were originally done!

No I probably will not watch it. I get bored because it moves slowly between events. I just am in a hurry too often. xoxoxoxoxoxo

Hello cher913. I have been hearing so much about China's pollution and how it might affect the performing athletes at the 2008 Summer Olympics. I hate to expose my ignorance but I don't know much about China's position on human rights. I cannot think of a reason at this point why the Beijing Olympics will not go fairly smoothly. I have not been following all of the media reports about the upcoming Olympics. I will, however, be watching them quite a bit. I am quite an Olumpics fan.

I have been thinking about this a lot. For a while I thought we would boycott the olymipics this year because of human rights violations and other issues with china but the more I thought about it the more I wonder what makes the olympic committee decide which countries get to host the olympics? Is having the olympic games there going to show the people of china the freedom of countries who are not communist? Do the games bring hope and awareness to countries who are under such harsh governments? What about the athleates? So many of them have made huge sacrifices and are so lucky to have made it to the games, don't we owe it to them to watch them succeed? It is a hard situation to make heads or tails of.

The smaog there was bad when I watched it on the television,we may be able to get an update on it on the internet now though,but I will watch very little of the olympics,I may well watch the opening ceremony,and watch the Olympic torch being ignited,but that will about be it from my poit of view,im not too keen on it at all.

Hi Cher, Yes I will be checking out the Olympics. It is always a good event to watch. I'm amazed at the living conditions in China, so I will be trying to pay attention to what is going on there.
