did you take a vacation, or two, or more in 2008?
if so, where did you go? who did you go with? was it worth the time and money? would you go back to the same place again?
what sorts of things did you do on your vacation?

We have taken one holiday so far this year and that was back in May, we went to a place called Blackpool which is in UK where I live so we did not go far. We did not do too bad with the weather luckily but the holiday itself was a big let down and I definately will not be going back again.
We did not do a great deal as things were a lot more expensive than we had expected but we managed to have fun anyway. We are not planning to have another holiday this year as we are having our garden done up.

back in june, we went to alberta. one of my good friends was getting married there, so i went out to be her maid of honor. my husband decided to come with me and do her wedding photography, as he is a freelance photographer in his spare time. well...it turned out to be quite a vacation for the two of us! it was our fifth anniversary that week, so it was a wonderful treat for us to take the vacation together.
after my friend's wedding, we left in our rental car and drove to jasper, banff, and lake louise. we spent a night in each place.
we did all sorts of things like horse back riding, canoeing, going up a mountain in a gondola, and even mountain climbing, which was exhilirating! we took over 3000 photographs, and my legs were so sore at the end of the week from all that walking!
but it was so worth the time and money invested. i can't wait to take our next vacation. in february we are going to the cayman islands to visit my husband's best friend. i am big on going to places where we know people...gives us a place to stay free of charge! and friends to hang out with!

We are in 2008 now,and I have just had the one week away and this was to the sun.I went to stay at my sisters apartment in Spain,the weather was very hot though,and we had t take a lot of sun barier cream,on with a high factor too.The sea was very warm ,but the beaches were too crowded for me,and that is the one holiday that i will be taking this year,there will be no more.
