I think it's a spam, mocking microsoft of making people always pay for their products and services. Anyways hotmail can be out, because it's now a network called windows live, hotmail is just for those email address long before. Don't worry about it, it's probably a spam. Usually a company offers free emails, as well as premium ones, used mainly for businesses.

Yep, there are loads of these spammails out there. They claim it was send by someone who works at hotmail but judging from the spelling, the way it is put together and the whole sending this to all your friends notice makes me think about it twice before beleiving it.

If you get mail like this, and it doesn't come from a reliable hotmail source,(ie,Hotmail Admin) forget about it..or try www.snopes.com -they're usually a good source of info on spam and scams that are circulating..I've seen something like that one too,and it was BS..

I dont use hotmail anymore so I really dont know. But that would be awful if you had to pay for it.

It's totally spam! Hotmail stays free because of how many people use it. So if no one used Hotmail then they might charge. But everyone uses it!

I have rechecked my response and I am sticking to it! Maybe you got what I said wrong. When a website become big and people join it constantly that website owner gets paid for it. That's why My lot is free! So the more people that go onto hot-mail and use, the more the website owner receives! But hot-mail has it to where you can purchase accounts that have more capabilities to them!

I've recieved this email on at least 3 separate occasions in the past and so far nothing has ever come of it. Hotmail is still free and will go on to be, at least as far as I am aware. This email is just spam intended to worry people. Don't worry, your Hotmail will still be free!

There is an email which is circulating around quoting from BBC that Hotmail may be charging its users. But that news was in 2002 and Hotmail still have not charge its users yet. Read here: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/2031026.stm Most fail to realize that the article was written and 2002 and continued to forward the mail.

No I use Yahoo mail. That would really suck if you had to start paying.
