Blogging - How do you increase traffic to your site?

I believe that replying to your commenters will help drive traffic to your site because they'll know you value them. What about you, what are your thoughts on effective blogging and increasing readerhsip of your posts?

I think it does help to interact with the people commenting on our blogs. But, it also takes being a regular poster. When you skip for a long time,you lose your followers. I know mine falls off when I don't post for a week,which has been regularly happening the past month or so. It also helps to visit other like blogs and read and comment on their site. Then they visit you and comment on your posts.

Yes, visiting and commenting in others' blog also help boost traffic, thanks for the input.

Increasing your readers means that you should actually promote your blog. Before doing so make sure that you have interesting topics that are well written.
