Have you ever received edible bouquets? They look like fabulous flower arrangements, but they're made of intricately cut fruits. They're beautiful and impressive, but horribly expensive. Using very sharp, very thin-bladed knives, I'm going to try to do one up for the first day back at work after vacation.
Has anyone made these before? Can you share instructions? Any idea how far in advance things can be made?
Thanks in advance!

Have not received one but i will definitely want to. It looks so pretty and you wouldnt wanna eat it. I tried making chocolate candy bouquet for my niece's birthday party. It is a whole lot easier than the ones made of fruits. I just melted chocolate chips and molded them into different floral shapes, i even made a few teddies and hearts. There's lollipop sticks slots in the molder so that acts as the stem. I just place them all in decorative pot with styrofoam inside and covered the styro part with confetti. The kids love them and it looks so pretty.

Wel Cobra it all sounds mavellous!an edible bouquet, but im wondering what you do to keep the fruit from discolouring,if you take the skin from an apple then it will trun brown, but the idea is somewhat luschious..so you make roses etc from the fruit?im going to have a little sufr on the internet and see if I can find any images

There are now several companies around here that make and deliver these beautiful things, and they're incredibly expensive. I thnk a bit of lemon juice will keep most things from discoloring. they can also be dipped in chocolate, which looks and tastes better still!
