My kids don't like to eat the same thing every morning and they really don't like cereal that much. They don't like milk on it so I think they feel it is more of a snack food. I think frozen waffles and pancakes are really easy. On the weekends I make big batches and then just freeze them and then microwave them. I always cut up some fresh berries or slice a banana on top and sprinkle with powdered sugar and breakfast is done.

Along with cereal being easy I would say that cereal as a snack food could prove to be even easier then having to add milk. However milk is beneficial to the children's systems don't you think?
Pancakes are something else that I will make sometimes mid morning. My son seems to enjoy them when I make them.

Cereal is probably the easiest thing to fix next to toast with butter and jelly. Coffee is also something pretty easy to make if you want to count that as breakfast! I think it is important to have some kind of sustainable meal in the beginning of the day just so your energy level is alright during the day.
