Husband wants a turtle

Now my husband thinks that, because our cat doesn't want anything to do with him and he is too old to chase after our four legged family member, he needs a pet turtle. I guess he feels that a turtle would be at his speed level and he can have some type of creature tolerate him on a daily basis, whether it wants to or not. Naturally, being a wonderful wife, I want him to have what he wants. If he is happy I have less slobber to clean up from the cry baby fest that he has on occassion. The only problem is that I know he already owns a turtle. When I told him that we already had one turtle in the house and that we didn't need another one he looked at me like I had lost my mind. As he was staring at me like I was some freakish mind case standing before him, I couldn't help but feel that he was one of the most daft people I had ever met. "What do you mean, I don't have a turtle" he stated. Yeah right I told him, I see him hiding in the shower right now. Unfortunately, like any man I guess, he didn't find my humor amusing. I just call it like I see it buddy! If it is cold and you all of a sudden develope a turtle, its not my fault. What do you think?:)

ha ha ha...i think a snail would suit him better since he already has a turtle, maybe you can suggest him that, it going to just stay near him and i hope he himself will get annoyed with it being that way and change his mind about having a different pet

Thanks for your post! Right you are sharay a snail would be a fine pet to sub for the turtle. I will surely suggest or better yet dig one up myself. At least with a snail if it wandered away he would have its slime trail to follow. Great Idea :)
