Do you miss your close friends?

Philippines

I am talking right now through YM with one of my close friends. As I have shared in some discussions here, I fell in love with her but she dumped me because she didn't feel the same. It took some time before we were able to talk to each other again. Right now we're still friends and I'm happy with my very loving girlfriend. Honestly I missed the times that we talked about a lot of stuff. So do you miss one of your close friends now? Tell me your stories

Yes i missed them so much since I moved to another city, I never seen them anymore. We were a gang of naughty students back to the High School moments. Fortunately there is one of them staying in the same city i am now, so I still make contact with him sometimes. We were 15 and the number decreased as time goes by. It was only 8 when the last reunion held, i was so sad because of that But lately we never had in touch anymore. I missed them so much

well.. thank you :) I am trying to get in contact with them, but since i lost my cellphone I lost their number, I am not a kind of person who have a phonebook everywhere, but everything should be in my contact in my mobile, but... oh well... I tried to reach them by e-mail, but no one has replied. i should try another way. But again, thank you :)

Yes, I do. There was this best friend I had way back in my elementary and high school days who just gone amiss these days. Well, she's really never lost because i would always treasure her friendship no matter where time takes us. She is currently working as a nurse in Texas, USA and way back years ago, we just exchanged communications pretty well. I was just surprised that a year ago, she stopped sending letters or cards to me, I have been wondering why. Despite the fact, I still continuously send her cards and photos of our youngest child where she stood as godmother..just to keep in touch. I presume she is still living in the same address since none of my cards were returned to sender. Right now, I am not quite sure if i have to continue my effort of keeping in touch with her because i'm afraid that she might not want to receive anything from me anymore..for what reason, I REALLY Don't Know! I miss my dearest friend so badly that my only hope for her is to be in the best of everything, so with her family there in the US. I just wish I could at least learn from her if she still wants me as a friend or not anymore... Thank you for opening up the discussion.

It's sad that you don't get to communicate with your friend anymore. Before if I want to locate old friends I use the Internet and search them in friendster or facebook. I was able to find some old friends who live miles away from here. I wish you all the best in finding your friend.

I miss my bestfriend Mandy. We've been friends for 14 years, yup, since my high school days. We started to grow apart though when bad things happened 2 years ago. Then she married her boyfriend in Kansas and left the country. Well, we recently "met" online and started talking again. She's still my bestfriend but I really miss those times we spent together. She's miles away now and the time difference makes it hard to communicate all the time... I just wish she's happy though. After all the things that we've been through, the good and the bad, I still want the best for her.

yes id do,my bestfriend is one of the person whom i treasure most i share my time, memories, laughter, problem and many things because i kno that we will be stronger if we are open to each other.sometimes we hang out together and do the things tht we can do.as of now its hard to find a friend that you can trust with, share your problems and make fun with them so treasure them if you don't want o loose them and give importance.

Most of my truest and closest friends works abroad already. I am alone now here in our country. We just keep in touch via messenger, friendster, and e-mail. I misses the times were we are together physically and exploring life. Hope, someday we can find time to be together again. i misses their company so much.

I do miss them, I have a lot of friends during college, actually I used to depend on them, it's like they're my family. But now I get so busy with work, settling down, and doing my duties and so on. I miss the late-night talks with girls, I miss the 10-5am drinking, lol, messing up with anyone..it's so cool..but I guess I'm getting old, and they are too, some of them have families now, we would just talk through social networking sites, keeping in touch and that's it. well, those were the days.

I once refused one of my friends cos i don't really have the feelings. We talked about it and i said i really want this friendship to continue and be like how it was.We both agreed on that and he gave me his best wishes.Right now,we are just like those good friends, still talking about everything. He now has a girlfriend and his girlfriend understand and respect our friendship. He is some guy i can call up at night to pick me up somewhere. I think first you should take the right atitude, feel like nothing happened and still try to act like how you used to be.That way,she wouldn't feel anything wrong or embarrassed about the relationship. As time goes by,i think you two will both cherish this friendship.Good luck.

Yup, I do really miss my close friend back in the Philippines. She's my officemate in school where I work then. With her, we can talk just everything under the sun. So when I left going to States, I was so sad leaving her. But what can we do, its part of life. We still communicate with each other thru email but not as often as before because she's so busy with her work.. I found another closefriend in the States exactly just like my friend in the Philippines. She's also a Filipina, sad thing is we had to leave again because of work.. We do communicate though but seldom due to time difference.. Gosh, so hard to be far from your closest friends!

I have very few friends, but they're all my good friends. I knew some of them since high school, some when I was in college and a few more when I started working. Throughout the years, I mus say without the existence of mobile phones and Internet, it would be very difficult for us to keep in touch, since we live in different towns or countries. It's nice to be able to hear from my friends as everyone is busy with studies, work and those who are married would be occupied with their partners and children. However, I must say it's sad that sometimes I'm the one who initiates chats over YM or send text messages to some of them. I mean, I understand that we're all busy with our lives, but a text message doesn't take long to type nor does it cost much. Perhaps I feel that I'm the only one making effort to say hello and keep them updated about myself because I am single and I have lots of free time. Lol! Thanks magojordan for starting this discussion. :) This is by far my longest response here on MyLot. I'm glad that I'm able to share my views on this.

I also miss my friend. She is my High school friend. We are also seatmate when we are in high school. We also talking about lot of stuff and we feel so comfortable to each other. We tell lot of secrets to each other. Now that we are both in college we don't have enough time to visit or see each other so all we can do is sending text message to each other and chat of Facebook. It is really hard to find another friend like her because for me,she is everyone's dream friend. She is a very good friend.
