Benitez in Search of Pot of Silva?

Rafael Benitez seems to put his plans of signing Gareth Barry on hold as he moves for Valencia midfielder David Silva. Valencia currently have debts of over £400 million, and they seem willing to sell a few of their star players. Moreover, Valencia need money to fund their new £250 million stadium. According to Silva’s agent, Julio Llorente, Valencia have already rejected a £17 million bid for Silva from Atletico Madrid, and with the fee for the player reportedly lower, Benitez seems ready to purchase a player who helped Spain win the European Championship.
