Change your monitor from a CRT to an LCD, if you do it will surely lessen the radiation. And get a rest for a while, if you think the glare is already killing your eyes move away from the computer, go to the john take a pee and go back. I stay in front of the computer for like 16 hours and I still have 25 25 vision, thanks to God and luck, I guess. But I'm using an LCD monitor and it really feels much better than the radiation heavy CRT. I can tell, because when I'm watching TV, it's really different, I feel like the TV's sucking me.

don't try sitting in front of computer too long in one stretch because that will definitely effect your eyes .... i read in some book that if you give a gap of 1min for every 20mins then your eyes will not be effected that much by the radiation.

first thing you can do is using a LCD screen instead of a CRT monitor. that will greatly reduce the radiation to the eyes. if you are already using that and still have a problem with radiation, make sure you have correct brightness adjusted. always work in a well lit environment. dont work in the darkness or in extreme light. the light should be natural and suitable to the eye. take orange or red colored fruits and vegetables. they have maximum vitamin A. also take leafy vegetables. turn away from the screen every 1 hour for atleast 5 minutes and wash eyes regularly with cold water. thats all. you need not wear glasses. have fun and all the best.
