Would you give up your seat on the bus.....

For an old person? Of course i would! I was brought up like this to have respect for the elderly. I would always give up my seat for elderly, disabled, pregnant women and all other person i think they would need a seat. I think everyone, especially young people should do it as we all are getting older and if we all are in that age where we are not that fit anymore we would be grateful if someone would offer us their seat! hope one day some one will do that for me when i'm old.Do we really need to ask this question? I mean come on, shouldn't everybody do the right thing!

Hi my friend! I would definitely give up my seat on the bus for an elderly. I would also do it for the disabled and pregnant women. But of course, I will have to consider how long the travel will be. I must admit that I can't stand in the bus for more than an hour. Sometimes, I would ask my boyfriend to give up his seat for a while for those mentioned above.

Of course I will give up my seat to the one who needs it, such as the elders, the children, disable people and the pregnant women. I am glad that this habit is becoming much more popular. If one who doesn't do so, and especially he's a young man, then we will stare at him and shame on him. I love China

Yeah,hi,rainbow I do agree with you that we should give up our seat whenever we see someone who need a seat .just as you have mentioned the elderly, disabled ,pregnant women ..etc,Since we will be one day become elderly ,pregant or other things we can't expected. If we get on a crowed bus and a seat is really in need for us ,but noboday on the bus willing give us a seat ,then at that moment what would we think ?.so I am totally agree with you;-)

Yes, everybody who is young, strong and able must offer his seat to those who are sickly, disabled, old, pregnant women. How I admire those young people who offered such seats. In fact it must be taught in schools on values edeucation. Me, even if I am quite older, I still offered seats to much older, sickly, pregnant women in the trains and in the bus.

I have the same mentality and I believe that, as long as I'm healthy and strong, it's better to leave the seat for someone that needs it more than I do. That is why I only take a seat in the subway (I barely take the bus) if most of the seats are free. One thing that bothers me, and that I don't agree is old people that don't act like their age. And I'm talking about those old ladies that paint their hair in aggressive colors, use excessive make-up and overburden themselves with tons of tin jewelery. If, by chance, I take a seat in an almost empty train and in a few station it gets crowded, I will never give my seat to such a person. In my opinion (as wrong as it may be or seem), someone who doesn't respect his age should not be treated by the age they actually have, but by the age they are trying to show. I will not give my seat to an old lady who has less gray hair than me and her hair is pink! I'm sorry, but that's how I am.

Yes I do give up my seat on the bus and i.e only for old and pregnant people. It is good to do that. According to me all this has to come from beginning itself but I find now a days no one are bothered about others, they dont care for others at all.

I have give up my seat on the bus and the train for someone that was older or in the family way. Even for kids that had no room with the bus or train being full of grown people. That I would do for anyone if they need it. I can stand that is not a problem. There have been times when I have done that and they tell me that they didn't need the seat. But I didn't get upset though.
