Do you go back to your started discussions to read responses and rate them??

i really want to know how many of you actually go back to your started discussions and comment / rate the responses recieved? i really feel that we must atleast read the responses and rate them even if we dont reply coz everyone takes efforts to think and write a reponse.
i try my best to keep a track of all the discussions i have started and not only that i even wait for comments on any responses that i may have given on other discussions. i dont know if this technique is correct. would i be actually wasting my time doing so or is this what mylot demands for -- quality

hi asifthakur hi again I go back several times a week as I have been getting so many responses now it takes quite a while to commentand rate, and give best responses.I cannot do it every day as I do not have enouogh time, I must sleep sometime. lol.

its fair enough..i know its not practically possible to comment on each and every response coz we all start many threads and some of them get huge responses and its impossible to reply them all.
and yes friend...you must take care of your health and sleep well. mylotting is addictive. so beware!!

I think that if you make the post then youre interested in the response at least a little bit. I give everyone a positive rating (although Im pretty new) for responding to my posts because in essence thats why we are all here and I hope that others would give me a positive rating in return.

I can't reply to all, sometimes short on time and sometimes, I just really don't know what to say I hate to repeat myself, you know? But I do read each and everyone of them and I rate them. Everyone gets a plus, except for those replies that make no sense, they are just a few random sentences to make a quick penny. I just give them a negative.

thats what happens with all of us..we all have other things to do and send only a couple of hours or so on mylot. so practically it is not possible to comment on every reponse, but the least we can do is give a rating...it doesnt take a second to do it. i also agree that some of the replies dont deserve a rating as there are no visible efforts in the reply and its just to earn a quick buck..but let me also tell you something...negative ratings indirectly affect our own earning too..so be generous and give everyone a + or just dont rate them unless they are abusive.

I DO! Because what would be the essence of posting a topic if the one who post it doesn't have the interest of reading the responses. And also, people here in my lot invest their time and idea just to be able to give a quality response to our topic. So to reciprocate their effort... isn't it right to give importance and appreciate it as well?!

but no marks my response as best i dont know why n i want to mark ur respone as best but i dont know how to do it i m searching for it

When i come here at first, i would like check every discussion i attend and was glad to be answered. But by and by i found most of my discussion were not responsed, so i don't check them often. And in a way my laziness is due to the net speed is not quick becouse i use a college net.

i understand your situation as even i am facing the same problem. i have a pathetically slow connection (actually i am connected via bluetooth to my gprs enabled cell) and it really sucks when the pages take a hell lot of time to load. anyways...i wish u good luck. happy mylotting!!

Actually i had a lot of discussion to get back to respond and rate. I had a lot of unresolved discussion as well, i try my best to get back whenever i can but i had a very limited time to spent here. I hope i can track back all of it in the next couple of days little by little so i don't have to worry a lot.

Yes, sometimes I do. When I'm not in the mood to comment or respond, I just go through the discussions that I have started and I read every response before I choose the best among them all. I still have unresolved discussions. Even though I am mostly not in the mood, I don't mark any response as the best unless it really is. And those unresolved discussions that I have, doesn't have any best response yet, or so I think.

Sorry! I keep on repeating best response, what I meant was rate. I think I'm a little groggy already for being here for more than 2 hours. That's the most time I have spent here since last month.

I do go back to my discussion and as reply to those who responded to my post. Though there are times that I would not be able to go online since I am also busy with my day job. Sometimes I feel guilty but I do think that myLot people will understand.

there is no need to feel guilty about anything..atleast you do try your best to respond as much as you can. most of us here have day jobs or have other things to do. so practically it is not possible to reply to everyone. today maybe having some spare time..tomorrow i may be too busy to even come online...so its understandable. just enjoy what you do and dont just make this a way to earn a quick buck. lets try to maintain the quality of discussions and responses..that will make the site fun to be on.

I'm going to be honest and say that I never used to rate the responses, only because it wasn't something I was used to doing as a matter of routine.
I started doing it consistently about two weeks or so ago and it's now almost by rote - someone responds, I rate it immediately, even before I respond again myself.

glad to know that you have realised how important it is to rate others. it actually improves the rating of our own discussion thereby taking it to the top.
i have also made it a habit of rating others discussions which i respond too.

i take time about once a week to see my unresolved discussions. some postings and some questions bring a smile on to your face. but in some instances, when you see that your emotional question has got no responses, there is some dejection. but this is life. every time you can not expect to be happy.

yes thats true..sometimes we dont get responses for the questions that really need an answer...some could be emotional, some technical and some very very personal too. what happens here is that maybe we arent able to put forth our question in a right way, we tend to hide somethings or not able to express it properly for everyone to understand. its best to use a layman language rather than flowery words coz u have international participators. also placing the discussion in the right field of interest is important.

welcome to mylot...just make sure that u participate with interest and not just for the sake of earning a quick buck.. i am sure as u will get used to it, u will get more ideas for discussion and would also learn to respond to others..in other words..you'll learn to earn money soon..i hope you have a gr8 experience here. happy learning and happy earning!!

Hi asif, I normall do it immediately after reading the comment.If I have not rated then there are very less chances that i would go back and rate it. We all have busy lives, don't we?

I try to go back and rate all the responses, and I also try to comment on all of them, sometimes its hard if you get alot. I just think it shows that you care to take the time to read what they had to say. I don't know if your wasting your time or not, doesn't hurt I guess.

What you're doing is right fellow mylotter! Participation is the key here to earn. It is what mylot requires us to do. Responding other's discussions, posting new topics and replying back to responses received are ways of participating.
Rating responses on the other hand helps in determining our mylot reputation though I think it doesn't really increses our earnings.
