recurrent miscarriage

i was wondering if anyone had any advice or has experienced this problem and whether they eventually suceeded to have a healthy baby. both myself and my partner are lucky to have been blessed with children from a previous relationship but can't get a healthy baby together. i seem to get a little further with each pregnancy, the 1st pregnancy lasted 8wks, the 2nd 12 wks and the latest one lasted 20wks. i'm beginning to wonder if we'll ever have a child together. i'm also scared to try again because i'm not sure we could survive the heartache of loosing another baby.

yes i had a miscarriage in between my two daughters and while it was hard emotionally, i found it was much harder on me physically. it took me a few months to get back to normal (or course, it didnt help that i had an very active 2 year old to take care of!) i had the miscarriage in january and by june i was pregnant with our 11 year old...it can happen. talk to your dr.

thanks, i have spoken to our dr and shes refering us to gyny investigation at our local hospital. we also had our chrosone blood tests after taylor was born sleeping to see if our chromosones as a couple are compatible or have any abnormalities. i guess once we get to see the results and the fertility dr we can see where to go from there.
