OMG! We can't even be safe in church! / myLot

A gunman entered a church during a child play of Annie and opened fire! He got 3 shots off before the church members subdued him. They found more than 70 bullets still on him. I have heard that it was quite impressive how quickly they parishioners reacted. I wonder if I will hear more about why this happened or if it will just be a flash in the pan and gone from the public eye.

Oh my! Why do things like this happen? He must have been mad at god or something to do such a thing. I have other things like this happen, I just don't understand why. Someone would have to sink pretty low to do this sort of thing. I am glad it didn't happen close to me.

i am not sure that i would be able to do that either. where i am in church is in the balcony (i am part of the sound crew) so it would be good, i could sneak down the stairs and jump him...scary indeed! he must have had a vendetta.

It is very sad, I did not read this, but heard it on the news. Lots of us attend Church weekly. We know that everyone in the Church is not like minded. But we never expect gunfire. I am glad that some brave people stopped him. Not sure what I would have done.
