as you have all read from a few of my other post i don't really get to read a lot either something comes up or i just can't get interested in the book i have tried a lot of times and it just doesn't happen for me for some reason...so i was just wondering about all of you, what book are you currently reading and what is it about and has it gotten to any of the good parts yet? do you see yourself finishing this book or is it going to be one of those things where you probably will just lay it down and not pick it back up...maybe this will give me some good ideas on some books to try in the future...thanks for taking the time to read my discussion and hopefully you will take part and answer...i hope that you all have a great day today!

I am reading The Golden Compass right now. I hope to finish it today. I read for hours last night. I have the next two books in the series and I want to finish them both before school starts the end of August.

It isnt one I am going to read cover to cover though. You know how it is with cookbooks you just usually scan them until you find something you want to read.

I'm a bookworn, and I feel naked without a book nearby. I'm also addicted to PNR (paranormal romance) novels. If you are not familiar with genre, it usually has fantasy elements on it, such as vampires, werewolves, etc. I'm currently reading Cheyenne McCray's Forbidden Magic, and listening through Books on CD Laurell K. Hamilton's Blood Noir. I cannot imagine myself not reading for any long period of time.

Hi! Just so is, I am reading a book. Have not done so in a long time. I am reading Basic Instinct . From the film with Micheal Douglas. I have seen the movie,it was good! So know you must be wondering why does she want to read the book? Well, I am reading it in German. I can't speak it very well yet, but I can read it and understand almost everything. By reading it, I hope to be able to speak it better.LOL! So I needed a book that I can easily put myself into. It is going very well. And I even think the book is better. I have three languages to choose from. Sometimes I don't know what language to choose, hahahaha! Happy reading! Margajoe

I finished Gravitys Rainbow today, just started Empire Of The Sun by J.G. Ballard. its a semi autobiographical novel of his childhood in a POW camp. Its diffrent compared to some of his other books, mainly because its more personal. Its a good one, i'll finish it

I'm not sure the types of books you like to read but I'm currently reading a really good one. It's called "Bitter is the New Black" by Jen Lancaster. It's a biography about the author and how she used to work in a $$$$ income job and then gets laid off and the trials and tribulatoins of her having to live like one of the normal "folk." It's really cute, and she has these little end notes about certain things she says which make it even more funny. My favorite part was when she planned her wedding and how it was going to be in Las Vegas and she got everything all settled and planned out and refused to take any help from her Mom. When they got to Vegas she found out it was Adult Entertainment Weekend and their hotel was the host hotel! LOL :o) There are two more books after this one that also follow her life so I'm anxious to finish this one and get the next! Happy reading!
