Why is it that the pharmacy keeps running out of medicine?

It seems like every time that we go to pick up medicine for my husband the pharmacy has to order at least one of his medicines because they are all sold out.
Also I have noticed the shelves seem to not have as much on them as they used to, what is causing this? is there a medicine shortage and no one has told me or maybe I am just imagining things again.
what do you think is there a shortage of medicines?

i guessed a lot of people now needs that medicines due to there illness. cause you knew people now a days are very abusive on there body. just like i am always lack of sleep that made my head ache and so i need that medicine over and over. its just only a simple example for simple illness or sickness that people had now..
not to mention also other accidents happening in our surroundings and need to have medicines for the victims too..
that's maybe the reason and by the way before i forget also the raw materials of the having that medicines might be in scarce.
so that made medicine in pharmacy's out stocks
