I tried that once, but it turned out to be a borderline scam with no backup support. This also happened to my exes wife. You buy the training kit, study and learn, and then it's up to you to get the job. Most Drs don't do their billing over the internet, they have someone in their office that does it. It stinks when you pay all that, learn it by heart, and then can't get hired for it (and I even have a medical background and know my ICD9 codes!) I think you have to really investigate the company that's offering it. Check with the Better Business Bureau, and investigate online by typing in the name of the company and the word scam? or forum next to it. Then you can see what people are really saying about that company, and not go just by the testimonials that they have on their website. Also you have to see if they offer assistance in getting the jobs with them. Personally, I'd be wary of it.

I have a good friend here in mylot doing Medical billing and coding.. and marcie you have to wait for another 10 days or so, to get the correct details,as she is away from mylot for the time being.. She says, she will be back in the month of August. And perhaps it is not that much costlier, as given by Lori. If it is so, she would not have joined the course..

Hi, I am currently taking online courses at Colorado Technical College for my Associate of Science degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I am only taking one course at a time so it will take me a little while but I really enjoy it as I have always enjoyed the medical field. I'm disabled so it's much easier to do it online than go to a regular college. The advisors have been real helpful to me. They know I can't work outside the home and once I finish they will help me find a job online so I can work at home. Happy MyLotting, Char
