There was a bill passed by Bush today to help with the mortgage crisis that is going on right now. This sounds like a good thing when you hear about it, but when your hear about what else was in this bill proposal, you start to realize just how sneaky our govt. is and how our rights are being taken away and we don't even realize it. Within this new bill was also a law that allows the IRS to monitor our credit card use and what we purchase. This is to go into affect in 2010. This means anytime you use your credit card it is reported to the IRS, even if you are using it with ebay. Paypal will also have to report. Another way for them to take money from us and watch our every move. This is supposed to be a free country....can anybody tell me where our freedom went?

It seems to me our freedom started to be siphoned when bush and cheney took office.

I am not a big fan of Bush either and a lot of this has come into affect during his administration, but I think a lot of these things have been in the works for awhile. The Bible says that there will be a one world govt. before the second coming and I think this is all leading up to that.

Wow, I hadn't heard about that part of the bill. Why wasn't this reported to the people beforehand? If this is a democracy, then we should have more say into things that will directly affect us. Day by day our freedoms that our forefathers fought for are being taken away. I wonder if this is another thing that they are claiming to be looking for terrorist activity or something on that order. If that be the case, then why shouldn't only the suspect items be reported when purchased? Why should it be every purchase and not those that are for building terrorist 'tools?' Another thought...why would they tack this kind of thing onto a mortgage/forclosure bill? I don't see where that ties in at all, or don't these bills add-ons have to be related to the bill at hand?! This all seems just so wrong, and the worst part is most people have heard about the bill but not about this new add-on. Thanks for bringing this to our attention sharkbiter!

Your Welcome. I didn't know about this until a few nights ago when I was listening to 'Politics and Religion', a bible prophecy radio program . They had a clip of Ron Paul Talking about this bill. I don't think this is a terrorist thing at all. I believe it is so the IRS can get more money from us. I am not sure how it will work, unless we have to add it to our taxes or something of that nature. A lot of these news stories can be read about at worldnetdaily.com. It seems that everyday there is something going on to make our privacy go away. The RFID chip for example (Real ID Act). When they get this started they will have all your info(fingerprints, Driver's license,...etc.) in a national database and will be able to scan your ID card for this information. When there is an RFID chip in the card they can scan it from, I think, about 30 feet away. So if you get pulled over for, say, speeding and you have 3 other people in your car and you all have this ID card, it can be scanned and the cop would know everyone in your cars info. I could go on and on about things I have heard on this program and read at worldnetdaily, but I better stop now...lol. I have always heard Big Brother is watching, but now it is really kicking in gear.
