Would you want to live for a hundred years?

I prefer to stay on earth for 80 years only and I dont want to hit the century mark. I think its too long for a human being to live for a hundred years considering the health implications that comes with old age.

It would depend if I would be able to live a quality life even at that age, it would be a bonus! The measure of our days are short, I would rather choose to live a short life if its worth living, I mean having my family, friends and people around me. One thing also, in this age of ours it is very frequent case a human soul could survive that age span, and yes, I agree with you, health reasons would be another thing to consider if we live that long. But whatever it is, if God would want me to live a life longer or shorter, I would praise Him for that.

no i dont want to live for a hundred years. at those age i may be a burden already and i dont want that to happen. i want to be as like you around 75-80 years of age is enough. when i see my children have their own family and they have a good live then i think it is time to go. But as like most people say who are we to decide that. i wish the Lord that my life would not be short but not that long too.

Hi WATARIKENJI, I wouldn't want to pick any particular age because I have a sister who is still enjoying life at 85. My mother lived to within three months of 87 and was quite healthy until the last couple of weeks of her life. my father was 95 when he passed on, but his last year was difficult for him. I would be happy to live to 100 or more if I was in good health, but I would not want to outlive my children. Blessings.

As long as I am healthy, it doesn't matter how long I live. If I become deathly ill in my 20s, I won't want to live out of fear of dying young. Why would I want to live if i was not living a great life? If I am healthy into my 100's, then I'll want to keep on living until I am no longer healthy.

I would want to live over one hundred years if I have my health. In fact, I would aim for 120. Besides with what is going on in my life, and having not gotten what I needed or wanted at the age when I should have gotten them, not gotten the house from my dads estate when he passed, I need at least another forty years to catch up. I mean I am 65 and I do not have a lot of money in investments. I only have a granddaughter, and I really should have been a great grandmother by now. So I will have to live longer than expected.

Hi there! It depends. If I'm going to live for a hundred years together with my family I would love that. But if I'm the only to live that long, I'd rather choose not to. That would be sad for me living without my family especially when I'm too old. I'd rather die with my family still beside me. Ciao!

I would like to live for over 100 years so long as I still have good health and not a burden to anybody. I would like to see my son to have a kid of his own as well as my grandchildren to have kids of their own. I would like to help them as they build their own lives.

No never. If possible and if i can then i want to die in this current moment only. But my family needs me. I want to live another 10-20 years to fulfill my family needs. I want to make them financially strong. So that i will live their rest of live happily.

No I wouldn't like to live a hundred years. I don't want to live that long because I would then be dependent on other people. If you have read "Tuesdays With Morrie", Morrie said that the most embarrassing thing about growing old was that someone would be wiping your bottom when you're too old to do it. The life span of a person is not important, the most important thing is how he had lived his life.

I completely agree with you.Living a longer life might be very painful as there are health problems for the older peoples. Its fine to leave as much lifeas possible in which our health stays fine.

I would want to live to be 120 years old as long as I still have my health. Not all old people are crippled. Next thing you know you are going to say all old people are senile.

No. Life is hard enough just getting by in my twenties. I can't even imagine being in pain for that many years. There's no way I'd end up in that deal. Plus watching others around me die and leave me, that would be depressing.
