Coffee and donuts are known to be best pairs in food. Anyone knows why?

Hi everyone!
Been thinking for a while now
.. Maybe because I have been in a donut store the other day waiting for a friend. I have noticed that regardless of age, from 10 people who ordered donuts, 8 of them would have coffee to go with their donuts.
Anyone knows why? Donuts are best known to be paired with coffee when eaten. I haven't tried eating donuts with coffee. I would rather choose sodas or juice to go with it.
How about you guys? What drinks do you prefer when eating your donuts?

yeah it does. but, i don't know why neither. i just know that i like it, and drink it a lot of times with doughnuts.

donuts are easy to eat and they get wet easily and they so tasty. They are soft to chew with tea and sweet .

I love donuts!! But I dont like coffee! So me too I'd prefer juice or a soda :)
