What's the best gift for his birthday...

Today is my husband's birthday. Unfortunately I have no money to buy him a gift or treat him to dinner because all the money lately has gone to doctor's fees and medicines.
How do you make your partner feel really special on his or her birthday without having to spend too much? Any tips you can share?

i think you should consider what my friend did for her boyfriend. which is making a collage of themselves.
like pasting pictures onto papers and decorate them with words of love or sth.
it's really pretty and touching. =)

I'll keep your advice in mind; it sounds good and could even serve as a memento. Someday when we are minding our grandchildren we could take it out and say, "hey look at us when we were young. We didn't always have these wrinkles either!" LOL. Happy mylotting.

Hi polaris. Sorry if i'm late, but just thought of replying to this question.As Ishralene said it would be wonderful if you cook something really good and something that ur hubby loves a lot.Also you can arrange a romantic candle light dinner by yourself, which i'm sure your hubby would love and also appreciate. Also you can add some variety to your bedroom romance (Sorry, if i'm getting too personal..........lol). Its not necessary to always buy a gift on some occasion. Something that has been done by yourself and been presented would really be more appreciated. Also if you could make a hand made greeting card, it would just add up to all the appreciation, and I'm sure it will be treasured by your loved ones.

No problem - I could always try your suggestion next time, or maybe just anytime to let him know how special he is or to thank him for something he has done. Thank you for the suggestion and I will keep it in mind. Happy mylotting.

Give him a gift that you made yourself, like make him a nice dinner or something. Sometimes it's better to give something with a personal touch than an expensive one.

Great suggestion! People say the way to a man's heart is thru his stomach. I just hope he would like it coz I'm the world's poorest cook :( But effort counts, doesn't it? I really need to take lessons in this area. Thank you for dropping by and happy mylotting. That was a fast one, huh ;)
