Ever wished that you're a man instead?

I have excruciating pain sometimes when I have my period. I have to take time off from my work and my daily routine is affected. When I was younger, I'd dread that time of the month and would frequently moan why only women would have such pain then wish I were a boy instead.

About the only time I ever wish to be male is when I have my period. Either that, or go through early menopause. I'm fortunate enough not to have terrible pain, just light cramps. But, my periods are very heavy and a big inconvenience.

I could have written those same words; I have the same experience every month. And yes, I admit there have been many times when I was younger that I really realy wished I were a boy who never had any such problems. I resented the way they breezed thru everything day in and day out, never have to dread that time of the month, never have to experience the pain, discomfort, and the occasional embarrassment of stains when in school or at work. And then I envied them and wanted to be like them. But as I grew older I came to appreciate myself, and accept the way God made me. Now I am at peace with being a woman, pain and all.

Amen. Include menopausal blues as well as bloated tummies and hot flashes. Kidding aside. Being a woman has a lot of advantageous, too.

My periods are also very painful. Not only is the pain in my abdomen excrutiating, but my back and legs also hurt as well. I get very moody and it's very uncomfortable, messy, and disgusting at times! I am happy being a woman, btu I wish we didn't have to go through this cycle. I wish we could just have babies without pain. Wouldn't that be nice? I have wondered what it feels like to be a man. I also wish men could step in our shoes for just one week while we have our period so they can better understand how it feels to be bleedy with pain and discomfort as well as all those hormones driving you crazy!

I feel the same way when guys would ask me why I'm making so much fuss when that happens. But I guess the physical that we endure prepared us and made us stronger as persons.

I too have pain and sometimes I feel the same way you felt. I too feel that if I were a boy? Actually, in our culture, I have to be in three days isolation during the period. Can't go out of our house or anywhere and even can't touch anybody. I get bored sleeping over a bed, that too been isolated and have to wash all the cloths on my third day. This is really irritating and I think I can't change the rule being at Assam. There may be liberalized terms if I am away from home.

Yes, I heard that indeed in some cultures, the movements of women are limited on such times. Guess, being a woman is very challenging in your place.
