Can you go on a fruit diet? Like your 90 percent of your intake will be different kinds of fruits. Is it healthy? Will it help you lose weight or will it not make that much of a difference? Enlighten me because I want to have a healthy lifestyle and at the same time lose some weight.

I couldnt speak for someone except for my personal experience. When I started to have a fruit diet, well not really like whole day but I eat only fruits during dinner, I did that for a month now, and since I am doing it, I notice that I feel I am in good shape and yes, I am losing weight. I think the saying "an apple a day, keeps the doctor away" still works.

I don't think I can last long just by eating fruits because I have a very big appetite. I will have to eat many fruits to be full. I don't think it is very healthy because fruits do not contain enough protein, fats and many other nutrients that we need for a balanced diet. Sure one would lose weight but the amount varies from one person to another. This isn't a good way to lose weight too because our body might resort to breaking down our muscles in order to obtain the protein our body requires.

I would love to be on a fruit diet if I could. It certainly would be healthy, however am not sure about the loose weight part. I think there are some fruits which can make you put on weight. Will try and find out more and share it later with u.

Hello, mchave! What you eat does not matter.but it matters much on your lifestyle behaviors such as what and how often you eat and how active you are.most urban people don't get enough physical exercise for which they gain weight.so if you have decided to go with fruits and vegetables, no matter you follow this diet for a month or two and if you feel good ,continue the same diet.but in addition you have to do some physical exercise like jogging, runing and of course cycling and you have to drink at least three liters of water daily as it is most necessary for you to release toxins and they need to escape.it is also essential for weight loss because it flushesthe system, carrying fat out.thanx.
