iconic architecture in your city?

I loved these buildings! So different yet blends in well with the city. there is something fluid about these buildings.
which is more than i can say of the esplanade which is meant to be the iconic building in my city singapore. that just sticks out like a sore thumb.
Do you like this architecture as well? What is your favourite building? share a picture of it if you have one.
You can also guess where these buildings are located. I'm not revealing it yet cos of another discussion where I asked folks to guess where another nice building was located.:) Will update here in due time.

Well, if I remember correctly, the Paris Effiel tower was also the thorn in many people's side when it was first erected for the art festival back then.
1852 if I remember it correctly.
Give it some time. It may turn out to be as popular as the Effiel tower in the next decade or two. Only time will tell!

Yeah, our esplanade is just like a durian, with nothing much inside, and i guess the view from the top and outsdie of esplanade is much better than being inside the building itself.. lol
