Vacation

Yes, I took my baby son to Latvia by plane then we traveled there and over to neighboring Lithuania as well as Estonia. They are the Baltic countries situated between Poland and Russia. We traveled around on local buses and trains. We stayed in locally owned guest houses and did self catering. We saw interesting architecture, pretty countryside, lovely beaches, an old castle, a river and woodland. I liked Vilnius, capital of Lithuania most of all with its wonderful view points and fascinating sights. It was a shame that it poured with rain for all the time that we spent in Tallinn, capital of Estonia. I bought some lovely little costume dolls for my collection. I might have another trip in 2008 if I have enough money otherwise I will plan and book a flight somewhere for 2009. Happy travels.

We took a mini vacation this year. over the 4th we went to visit my best friend in north carolina. we drove half way and then got a hotel room then finished the drive the next day. We didn't have a whole lot of money but we were mostly there just to visit anyways. We stayed 3 days and then drove back up. We don't have anything else planned for this year, my husband only has a few vacation days left and we can't afford to go anywhere else.

So far this summer we have stayed at home, except for a few camping weekends. And I'm spending most of my summer, well all of it so far, with a splint on my left wrist/hand. However, I do have plans for a trip at the end of October. Will be joining my daughter, and a few others, for a Scrapbook Retreat weekend in Virginia Beach. Hotel room with a view of the beach, hours of scrapbooking fun, shopping, talking, laughing, and just having a relaxing weekend. This will be our second retreat, she treated me to our first one back in Feb., it was my birthday present from her, we had such a great time that as soon as this one was posted, we signed up for it.

I did not really go on vacation this year. We went to my sisters and stayed overnight. She lives about 300 miles from here. We went to the Natural bridge of Virginia for a day trip. The only other places I'm thinking of going is Virginia Beach for a day trip, and hopefully to New Hampshire to visit my mother in law.

We haven't taken our vacation yet because we've been waiting for gas prices to go down and things have been pretty busy at my job but I'm hoping to be able to get out of here in a couple of weeks. We want to travel back home to Maryland from Florida to visit family so it's a long drive.

In this vacation , I went to the Jian Feng mountain in China. It is a very beautiful place. It is the largest intertropical rain forest in China. And the air is fresh and much.All in all, my family and I had a great time in this place.If you have a chance to travel in China ,I hope you can come to the Hainan and I think you will have a nice time in the beautiful island.
