Did you see solar eclipse

Did you see solar eclipse - Friends i came to know that by seeing the solar eclipse from naked eyes can spoil the eyes will it be true or false i think it is false because i saw today the sun with eclipse many times then also nothing happen so friends do you believe in this thing.
