$1000 middle class tax cut??

Obams's new defensive ad countering McCain's celebrity ad makes the claim he will give the middle class a $1000 tax cut, yet on April 16, 2008, he proposed lifting the cap on Social Security payroll taxes— which would be one of the largest tax increases in U.S. history. I don't know what to make of this. Is he giving to the middle class, or taking? I heard the other day that Obama is promising the middle-class $1000 economic stilumus check if elected president.

In the You Tube video clip from my original post, he promises the middle class a $1000 tax cut. I haven't heard anything about a promise for a stimulus check.

In the long run, Obama and all the other politicians are 'taking' from us with inflation that is rising higher than practically anyone's salary increases.
