I have a friend working as a driver. She carries a backpack everyday full of things that I think she doesn't need at work. I find it weird, then I realized that I too have some weird things going around me. Like I always bring plastic gloves for some reason i think I may use it for something,I would never go out without a candy or a small piece of chocolate in my bag. I'm sure some of you carries something that you can't just live without. What is it?Why?

Yes, I always have a small bag with me and with it are my wallet, lipstick, comb and a little mirror. I can't go out without my small bag for my little things.

Well, we all have our own reasons. And the good thing is that we got to talk about this subject and I really think that there is no one person who does not carry anything weird with them. Thank you for responding!

I carry pocket incense in my purse at all times. Sometimes I like to burn incense while driving, I like the scent and it calms me. Other times, like when we are at the drive-in or at a park, I like to burn incense because it keeps the mosquitoes away. It's not something you'd usually carry in your purse but I find it very handy!

I carry a pocket knife in my purse and have had a lot of use for it. People are always surprised when I pull it out and fix something or cut something that needs it. I can tighten screws with it, cut string, score paper and have used it in restaurants when I don't have a sharp knife but need one. I also carry a couple of paper clips, rubber bands, hair clips even though mine is short and I don't need them, a needle and thread and a button.

There's an instance when i am on my way to work,it rained hard that my umbrella got torn.I don't have a car and just commuting.Until i finished my work and had to go home the rain did'nt stopped.I'm embarassed to use my torn umbrella. Now everytime i went out, even i got my new umbrella i never took off my needle and the string on my bag.Even if i change my bag i never missed to take it inside.I do'nt know why, maybe i'm just getting ready for my umbrella when it is needed to be fixed. It's kinda wierd!!!

I carry with me at all times a pen, a piece of paper and lots of food. I love to just go out and walk so the food is very crucial for me. :) the pen I always tell myself that its for protection and I have a piece of paper at all times so if I get stuck and board somewhere I get to play with it. LOL however most of the time I don't get the chance to use them at all, well except for the food.

In my wallet I have a small, flat pocket knife. While I know it'd be useless in a fight, you never know when you need a small, sharp blade. Like if you were kidnapped and tied up or duct taped, for example...or locked in a room and had to pick the lock or something. I also tend to carry a piece of chalk and a ribbon with me everywhere. I'm pagan, so these are items I take with me for "spiritual emergencies". It's probably weird to some people, but I feel better knowing I have these things. If I could ever find one, some day I'll have a sword-cane!

Something I always carry and can't live without is my asthma inhaler. Saves me if I'm out and have an attack. I also usually have a snack of some kind and frequently a bottle of water also. It gets so hot I don't want to be without something to drink.

I like the idea of the plastic gloves! I think that's great! I'm sure that would come in handy! I think I will definitely add those to my bag. I also carry some kind of snack, usually something sweet and something salty. Then I make sure I have something to drink, usually a bottle of water that I fill up at home. I take I guess the usual stuff, bandaids, tissues, nail file, umbrella, cell phone, makeup, brush, hair clips, hair spray, wallet, bus tickets, id stuff, paper & pen. I think that about covers it. Those are all the can't live without stuff I take everyday.

I always have a magnifying glass in my bag.. I have a very poor vision due to corneal scarring and brain tumor/s so I use a magnifying glass to read small fonts on brochures, flyers, books, etc. My eye glasses aren't enough.. I also bring a mini flashlight with me.. I'm deaf and I read lips to communicate and it's hard to read lips when it's already dark.. So I point my flashlight on to whoever I'm talking to at night in the car..

I'm not sure if it's weird but I have my toothbrush, mouthwash and floss in my bag all the time. No toothpaste though and I honestly don't know why I've never thought of bringing one.. I also have a small padlock (for what purpose I don't really know haha), band aids, camera, small tripod, diarrhea medicine, and a lot more things which I rarely use. Hmm I probably should just unload them, but then I may find a use for them the day I do.. Ahhh, never mind..

Since I was in high school I have had OCD. Actually I had it long before that but didnt realize it. So anyway in high school I always had to carry around anti-persirant deodorant. It wasent like I carried it around in my hand lol but I had to make sure I had a full bar of it in my bookbag or purse. I would put it on constantly I would go through about a large bar within a week. It was gross it would be so caked under my armpit but I would just keep putting it on afriad that I would smell if I didnt. The only thing that stopped that was when I had to work and couldnt put it on constantly so I would just put it on during my breaks which was only once during an 8 hour shift. That really taught me that I could go without it and didnt need it. To this day though I still carry around a bar of it in my purse but I usually only put my deodorant on once a day instead of constantly like I used to. I sort of have to have it in my purse to remind me that I dont need to use it but just having it in there in case I forget to put it on in the morning or if I do start sweating really bad for some reason and need it.

When I used to go to school, I think I always had something unnecessary that I bring with me. I don't need to bring it for school but just "had to", for vague reasons I really don't understand. My classmates always ask me, "did you bring your house with you?" Hahaha, I think so! :P Now, I don't usually go out with a bag, just me. I always have a pen and mini notepad in my pockets. It's very useful at times but the main reason I bring it is that if ever I see a celebrity or favorite actor, I don't have to look for pen and paper (hahaha, lol). The mini notepad is inside a plastic ID casing that also houses some discount cards (bah, my wallet is a purse, no place for cards :P) and some things I really don't know. Just realized right now that I really don't know what else is in it. I'm pretty sure it has my Kevin Spacey/John Cusack movie collection checklist if ever I find their movies that I don't own yet on a store.

I usually have this big digicam charger which I always carry in my bag because the digicam might run out of battery. It is funny because it never did run out, but I carry it with me anyhow, adding to the heavy weight of my shoulder bag.
