Form all my years in life one of the greatest lesson I learned early on is you should forgive easily but never forget. Life is difficult as it is right now so carrying some additional burden is not really an option. Since making mistakes is already a part of life so I guess the only thing that you could modify is how you handle it.

Forgive and forget is very hard to do. However, as I become older, I realize that I can do both. It takes too much negative energy to remember things that should be forgotten, especially if you say you have forgiven someone for something. I have to focus on the positives in my life so, I do choose to forgive and forget, even if the person isn't repentant. In this case, I choose to forget that person. I don't have the time or the energy to do the whole nice, karma, live and let live, oh well, this is only the tenth time it has happened, I will give you one more chance kind of thing.

I think I need some more growing, or some more aging. Before I could definitely say that I could forget anyone that does me wrong. I know that it is just healthier to let go, but sometimes the pain inflicted is just too much.
And I still claim that it's just being human.

Forgiveness .....well someone has something to you ...whether they have cheated on you, backstabbed you, whatever ...forgiving isn't easy ...it takes time to regain trust and move on with life...
BUT
Forgiving is not an option. If we don't remember these things , then we will let it happen to us over and over again.
The bumps in the road are life's lesson ....we take our lumps in life and learn from them......
And i don't think its humanly possible to actually forget ......

I remember saying this to a boss of mine once lol when a member of staff had phoned in sick, well he hadnt ever heard of the saying, hence he thought that I was loosing the plot, lol me??..but I explained it to him,and he wasnt in agreement with the meaning of the saying one little bit,but my theory is if you forgive you are the one who is in a beter postion than them.
