I have seen those but I have no idea what they're called. They're pretty common here in Ohio. Cute, aren't they?

I also have seen a lot of there here in Minnesota in the past.
First caterpillar this year I've seen though.
Lot of butterflies as of late too. Love it.

I will look at the caterpillar once I post this. I had to use an organic and natural spray on my green beans, egg plant and bell peppers because something was eating them . I could not find a bug/ caterpillar I found its black poops. The spray is working and now I have an egg plant finally.

I haven't seen any around my house. But I think it would freak me out. I don't like bugs at all! :(

We get a similar kind of caterpillar here, only the ones I see are darker brown. There was one out for a stroll not so long ago and my 2 year old daughter upon seeing it told me he had his coat on!
We do get quite a lot of caterpillars in our garden, we mainly have the green ones but when we first moved in our house my hubby found the biggest caterpillars I have ever seen in my life. They were huge, I have no idea what they were either!

Cool! What a fabulous looking beastie!
We have a sort of caterpillar where I live which makes a 'nest' in pine trees and when it busts hundreds of them fall out and walk in convoy along the roads. I've always wondered where they go!
You aren't supposed to touch them as the hairs can apparantly cause breathing difficulties in some people, but I enjoy putting stones and things in their path and confusing them!

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Well, I am not really good on names but I can name it for you if you want. haha..Just joking! It looks similar on the caterpillars I usually see around our area but the ones that are common here are a little smaller and their hair follicles will surely make you itch once it gets on your skin.
Take care always..God Bless!

Grandpa Bob, I found your bristly caterpillars on the Internet. Check this link out. http://www.whatsthiscaterpillar.co.uk/america/hairy.htm#bristle I think it might be the Salt Marsh Caterpillar. It's the only one that looks much like yours in that category.
