Can't decide? Flip a coin!

I tell people to flip a coin all the time. 
How often do you say it?
My friend just a few minutes ago (which is how i got the idea for this discussion 
) but he said he couldn't decide which kind of scooter he wanted to buy.
So i told him to flip a coin and he said "good idea" lol
Do you ever flip a coin to help you choose between things? or do you ever tell other people to do that?
I do it sometimes depending on what it is i can't decide on and if i have any coins on me.

I haven't heard that expression for ages and I must confess I've never done it myself. If I can't make a decision, I close my eyes and empty my mind--not hard to do as there's not much there sometimes--and the correct decision comes to me.

Wow! You've never flipped a coin for that? its probably is not as common as i seem to think it is but I do it just for fun sometimes ( even if i don't do what the coin wins on lol ) i just like doing it i guess.. probably because i'm always bored and have to keep busy doing something.
