What the above said; Associated Content if you're in the US, definitely. If you're outside, consider it twice; a lot of the money you can make from them is 'up-front' payments of anything from $3-20 per article, and if you're outside the US, you don't qualify for these. Might also want to give Helium a look. They don't pay as well as AC, at least in my experience, but they've more opportunities atm for lump-sum payments for quality writing.
