how do feel about giving advice? D o you try to avoid it?

I only give advice when I am asked for it and I believe in giving my honest opinion. I believe if people don't want my advise then they shouldn't ask for it because I am going to be honest.

All very good questions. I believe it all depends on who is talking to you and about what. If its someone you really care about and they are talking you will give advice without knowing because you want to help them, I think that will happen even if you dont know the person well enough. Its just human nature sometimes you try to not put yourself in that situation but things happen. I do not recall getting in any kind of trouble that I know off by giving someone advice. I believe if you're a genuine person it shouldn't matter if its freinds or family. Thanks and I hope that helps :-)

For me it's usually the case of me giving the advice but not following it myself! In other words I don't practice what I preach. I am good about giving people advice especially on exercise and diet and also of relationships especially as I have been through two disasterous relationships I hope that others can learn from my advice and not make the same mistakes. If I give advice it is up to the person as to whether they listen and take notice of it, it's only advice I am not telling them they MUST do it, that way there are no repurcussions. We have to make our own mistakes sometimes to be able to learn fully. Yes I have given advice in the past that I have regretted but I learn from that too, some subjects I just don't give advice on especially if I don't know much about the situation.

i dont mind giving advice especially if it is asked of me. and before i usually give someone my opinion about something i normally ask if it si okay because some people dont want your advice no matter how good it is.
