Does your city have a night where all the art galleries open?

In New Orleans there are 2 nights: White Linen night (you wear white linen) and Dirty Linen Night (you wear you dirty whites from the weekend before). They take place in 2 different sections of the city and have their own appeal. This weekend is White Linen Night. This is the 4th year I am going. I really enjoy this night because the glass works studio (you can tour where they blow the glass and they put on demonstrations), the Ogden Museum of Art and the very modern art studios are open. Some of the art galleries are always free to roam, other - like the Ogden - do charge. http://www.whitelinennightheights.com/ What I like about the Ogden is that it carries a lot of Louisiana art, conventional and modern http://www.ogdenmuseum.org/ Of course there is food and drinks, doesn't everything in New Orleans involve food? Last year my son was out of town and my husband didn't go. This will be the first year they are both attending. Does your city have something like this?
